Hocus-Pocus had no transitional problems in becoming a member of Jackie Green’s family in England. The most traumatic event that happened to him was that Jackie learned that he didn’t like black currant jam on his toast and he likes his toast only with butter. Hocus-Pocus is having a grand time playing with Jackie’s other dog, Dazzle. Thank you Jackie for taking such good care of our boy!

At the 2011 Bernese Mountain Dog National Specialty, April 4-9, 2011, we were proud to have Tchoum selected as number one for the Stud Dog award. Our younger kids did well with seven group placements. We had a lot of fun and many laughs with our foreign visitors - Karla Zurhaar, Michele Gurney and Jackie Green.

With the beginning of 2011, we looked over the progress we have made in the 5 1/2 years since Magic Berners started. We are very blessed to have had 16 champions to date, two grand champions, three top producers, two specialty winners, multiple best of opposites at various specialties and Eukanuba, numerous sweepstakes winners, several group placements and an award of merit from the Bernese Mountain Dog National Specialty in 2009. We traveled to Crufts, obtaining second place in the open class and receiving the stud dog award. But best of all is that through the last years, our dogs have brought us more love, happiness and a family that we could ever hope for in our lives.
Hocus Pocus will now need to be called “Sir Hocus Pocus.” He will be traveling to England with Judge Jackie Green for approximately 8 months. Hocus Pocus will be living with Jackie in her house as she shows him in exhibitions throughout England. Jackie will be visiting Hocus Pocus in March in order for a strong bond to develop between them, so he will feel comfortable spending time with her in England.
