Copperfield has obtained his Grand Championship. Houdini won Best of Winners for a major at Pleasanton. Voodoo takes a reserve Winners Bitch in Pleasanton at 14 months of age. On October 22, 2011, Valerie Horney judged Sweepstakes in which Voodoo won 1st place winner and Warlock took Best Senior and Best in Sweepstakes. Sorceress took Best of Breed on October 21, 2011, in Pleasanton. Warlock took Winner’s Dog and Best of Winners on July 8, 2011. Hocus-Pocus had no transitional problems in becoming a member of Jackie Green's family in England. The most traumatic event that happened to him was that Jackie learned that he didn't like black currant jam on his toast and he likes his toast only with butter. Hocus-Pocus is having a grand time playing with Jackie's other dog, Dazzle. Thank you Jackie for taking such good care of our boy!
At the 2011 Bernese Mountain Dog National Specialty, April 4-9, 2011, we were proud to have Tchoum selected as number one for the Stud Dog award. Our younger kids did well with seven group placements. We had a lot of fun and many laughs with our foreign visitors - Karla Zurhaar, Michele Gurney and Jackie Green.
Sunday, April 3, 2011, Warlock received Winners Dog and Best of Winners, VooDoo received Winners Bitch and Hocus-Pocus received Best of Breed.
Saturday, April 2, 2011, in Las Vegas, Warlock [our six month old boy] received Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed (over three specials). At the Saturday show, there was a Best Puppy in show competition and Warlock took a group 2 in the Working Dog Puppy class.
With the beginning of 2011, we looked over the progress we have made in the 5 1/2 years since Magic Berners started. We are very blessed to have had 16 champions to date, two grand champions, three top producers, two specialty winners, multiple best of opposites at various specialties and Eukanuba, numerous sweepstakes winners, several group placements and an award of merit from the Bernese Mountain Dog National Specialty in 2009. The best of the best Bernese Mountain Dogs were at the Eukanuba Dog Show on December 5, 2010. The dogs were an impressive sight to see. At the show, Sorceress was awarded Best of Opposites! Sorceress has realized her biological clock is ticking, so she has given up her show career to hopefully have babies. Wizard received his US Championship at the Long Beach Dog Show on December 2, 2010. Wizard has had two litters. His last litter with Charm produced three show girls and one show boy out of eight puppies!
Crystal Ball Haras De La Vergne received her championship at the San Luis Obispo show on November 21, 2010. Crystal gazed into her crystal ball and predicted the win![/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
Pleasanton, California held a five-day show in October 2010. Abracadabra took Best of Opposites three days in a row and Sorceress obtained a Best of Opposite at the Del Val specialty. Hocus-Pocus received Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a four-point major, completing his American championship. Congratulations Hocus-Pocus!
